IPS stands for Indian Police Service.
UPSC recruits the candidates for the post of IPS through Civil Service Exam.
This exam is conducted once in a year. Through civil exam you can also apply for IAS or IRS post.
These are the most reputed jobs of India.
In this you can not apply for CSE exam, you will have to wait for next year 2013.
UPSC will issue the notification till last of the year.
But you should start the preparation from now.
Civil Service exam will be conducted the UPSC authorized examination center across the country.
