Eligibility for NDA - National Defense Academy Examination

Indian Military - Passed in class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board

Indian Navy and Air force - Passed in class 12th with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of the biology/chemistry/computer science from a recognized board

Age should not be less than 16.5 years and more than 19 years

You can apply for this examination at www.upsc.gov.in between these following dates

Start date for online application - 04-05-2013

Last date for online application - 03-06-2013

Date for UPSC NDA Examination - 11-08-2013

You are mainly appearing for it with the Qualification of the 12TH CLASS FROM A RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY

You have asked whether you will be eligible for the NDA examinations or not while in first year of bachelor's degree .Friend ,to be very frank you eligibility for the NDA examinations that is National defense academy exam conducted twice every year by the UPSC depends upon what is your age at present?

The age limit for the NDA examinations is 16.5 to 19 years and there is no age relaxations for anyone ,So if you are age lies between the specified limit then you are eligible for the NDA examinations other wise not.

Since you are pursuing your bachelor's degree ,so you must have passed your 10+2 from a recognized university which is minimum educational qualifications required for the NDA exam.

One important criteria is that you should be unmarried male Indian citizen as female are not allowed to appear for the exam.

Hi,

NDA Entrance stands for National Defense Academy Entrance exam. The entrance exam is carried out by Union Public Service Commission for the selection of the Students into the Air Force, Naval and Army wings of the NDA.

NDA Entrance 2013 Eligiblity:-


1)12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a state education board or a university and also Students who are appearing in the 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.


2)Students who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.


So if you fulfill the age criteria,then you can sit for the exam!
