Can I join Army as Dental Officer after completing my MDS degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery?

I have passed my mds in 2011 in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. I would like to know how to join As Dental Officer in army dental core. and when is the exam date and details

Eligibility Conditions:


1. Candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Dental Surgery course or even candidates with MDS degree from a recognized university/institution can apply.
2. One-year internship programme must be completed that is recognized by Dental Council of India.
3. Candidates should be medically fit and they should not be more than 45 years of age as on date of advt.
4. Candidates should also possess permanent dental registration.


Selection procedure:
1. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on final year marks of the BDS course and on the basis of number of attempts taken in final year.
2. Shortlisted BDS candidates will be called for interview before the selection board. All the MDS candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements will be called.
3. Candidates who are provisionally selected will be brought before the medical board for medical examination.

-> candidate must be be graduate in BDS from recognised university ,(however higher qualification has no role to it.
you are taken on the basis of mere BDS degree)
-> candidate must be below 45 years of his age.



-> candidtes will be called directly on the basis of their aggregate score in BDS course.
-> after shortlisting they will be called to appear at SSB centre viz BHOPAL,ALLAHABAAD,banglore.
-> on meeting all the criteria they will be recommended to MEDICALS

*After that ALL INDIA MERIT LIST PREPARED, for the final vacancies.

then they are sent to further training for 49 weeks in AFMC,pune. thereafter 6 months army training.
