YES, you can write IFoS exam after your graduation in CS branch but you have to choose 2 subjects from a list that doesn't contain CS as a subject. IFoS subjects are all science subjects and the exam paper is a little more tougher than IAS exam papers for the same subject. Also, you should be good in English as English is the only allowed medium for IFoS unlike IAS exam where one can choose one's medium of examination. Also, the marks in English paper is included in marks tally.

Yes , B-Tech computer science student are eligible to attend in IFS exam .

IFS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in two stages :

a) Preliminary Examination

b) Main Examination.

For appearing in IFS exam candidate must be a graduate in any one of these subjects � Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture or Forestry OR any engineering degree from any government recognized university.

Age limit: The age of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years. Maximum 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.
