i am inform u that upsc not conduct exam for LDC level.
upsc is body conduct exam for gazated post tech and non tech post

ssc is conduct exam for LDC level and all department for govt .
like
cbi
income tax
parliament
etc.

UPSC conducts stenographer's /S.O 's level limited departmental exams in the month of december.
The notification will be issued in the month of July.
The forms will be available from the date when notification is released.
There is no prescribed age limit.
This exam is confined to the following central govt. employees
1) for those who are working in Assistant grade of Central Secretariat service, Railway board, Intelligence Bureau, armed forces headquarters civil service
2) stenographer grade 'C' of central secretariat service/Railway board steno service/ armed forces headquarters steno service
3) any post in Indian foreign service branch 'B' and attached subordinate service.
THe scheme of exam includes conventional essay type papers.
THe subjects differ based on the posts.
