i want to know the name of exams that are conducted by upsc which an it engineers are eligible to give.
please tell me the syllabus and procedure of applying.

Combined Defence Services Examination (I) :

1. (i) For IMA and OTA :- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
2. (ii) For Naval Academy :-Degree in Engineering.

Educational Qualification:-

Age limit:-
-Age limit is 21-30 years .

An engineer can apply for following UPSC Exams on the basis of his/her Engineering degree:

#Combined Defence Services Examination

Eligibility conditions:
For IMA and OTA : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
For Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering

the main eligibility to apply for the upsc examination is graduation or engineering in any stream form a recognized university under UGC.

so engineer are also applicable to apply for the various upsc examination held throughout the year.they can apply for

There are lots of examinations for which an engineer can apply.However in my opinion Indian engineering services is the best.the basic requirements for the IES is as below:

>>B.tech /B.E in any discipline from a recognised university but the condition is that you have select the papers from the four streams only and that are as below:

1.civil engineering

2.Mechanical engineering

3.electrical engineering

4.electronics and communication engineering.

>>You should be between 21 to 30 years .

>>relaxation of 3 years to obc and 5 years to sc/st.

obc:7

SC/ST : no limit.

Besides this examination as the engineer holds bachelor's degree ,so they are eligible for the:

>>Civil services examinations

>>Combined defence services examination
