    How to become an excise/customs taxation officer?

    Hello Sir,
    I am 22 years old and i did B.Com(C.S) and i do PGD in Taxation now .I want to become an Excise/Customs Taxation Officer please help me what i can do for this job

    Hi Aspirant,






    Friend you can Custom and Excise department through Staff Selection Commission.

    SSC conducts combined graduation level every year for the recruitment of following post.

    Auditor

    Compiler

    Accountant

    Income tax assistant

    Sale tax assistant

    Excise Inspector

    Custom inspector

    SI in CBI

    Etc.

    CGL exam is conducted once in a year for the recruitment of candidates.

    This exam is organized at all India level and lots of candidates take part in this exam, So exam pattern will be tough.

    Eligibility for SSC CGL exam

    You should be graduated in any branch from recognized university or its equivalent.

    There is no restriction of marks in graduation.

    You should be in age of 18 to 27 years.

    Age relaxation is given as per the government rules

    5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category and 3 years age relaxation for OBC category

    You must be the citizen of India.


    Exam pattern and syllabus of CGL exam.

    Tier I ( 200 marks)

    Quantitative aptitude ( 50 marks)

    Reasoning ( 50 makrs)

    English ( 50 marks)

    General knowledge ( 50 marks)

    Tier II ( 400 marks)

    Quantitative aptitude ( 200 marks)

    English and comprehension ( 200 marks)

    Interview ( 100 marks)

    After acquiring qualifying marks in written exam candidates will be sort outed for the Interview and personality test.

    After this process final selection list will be out and candidates will be allotted the post.

    You can apply for CGL exam through Online and offline mode.

    The notification for CGL exam will be updated at SSC official website as well as employment newspaper.

    You should keep regular visit to SSC official website to get the notification.
