Indian foreign service comes under Ministry of external affairs. IFS eligibility criteria is as below.
Eligibility Criteria for IPS Exam :
1.Age limit- 21 years minimum and 30 years maximum, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .
2. Graduation from any govt. recognized university in India.
3.Number of Attempts
Four attempts for general, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.
After clearing the exam you can be posted as a ambassadors of other country. in supertime scale you can be posted in the embassies of other small and large countries.
