    Hi Aspirant,

Friend keep one thing in your mind that UPSC CSAT exam is not like other exam which can be achieve via short period study and easily.

It is the toughest exam of India.

It demands dedication and hard work.

    So dont do selected study.

You should do very broad study and till depth of the topic.

Join any good institute for the preparation of CSE exam.

For the preparation of General studies read newspaper daily.

    Study Current affairs and magazine.

You should study Pratiyogita Darpan considered good competitive magazine.

Study English news paper for the preparation of English.

Study with NCERT books and reference books.

Practice previous year question paper to understand exam pattern and syllabus.

You must go through Previous Years Papers to generalise some of the topics on which questions are asked frequently.

For Prelims exams you have to do selective study as it is only a qualifying exam to shorlist candidates for the Mains Exams.

Prelim exam consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2 of
General studies 200 marks each i.e total 400marks.

For CS exam beaware of the current affairs by reading atleast 2 good newspapers like The Hindu or The times of India.

Read magazines like Pratyogita Darpan and CSR or Manorama Year Book, etc.Read Ncert books to clear concepts.

Mark the topics to be covered and make notes.Decide on few good authors and read only their books and articles in newspapers.

Revise your notes from time to time.Try to touch upon each topic in the syllabus and gain basic knowledge about it and do indepth

study of the subjects to be prepared for Mains exams.Mains exams are very subjective and vast so prepare papers of the TWO

    optional subjects well.
