    Dear Aspirant

Upsc Stands for the union public service commission

And upsc is conducting the civil services exam for the different posts

But the highest Posts like IAS And IPS,IFS

IAS Stands for the Indian Administrative Services

IPS Stands for the Indian Police Service

IFS Stands for the Indian Foreign Service

And for the exam exam you should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university

Citizen: You must be citizen of india

And you age should be 21-30

Here is the syllabus Of Pre Exam:

Two papers Of 200 marks each

    General studies
    English

And on the other hand on the subjects choice better would be to choose

Your self as we don't know which subject is your strong and which is not

So choose the subjects and work hard on the subjects

    Best of luck

UPSC Civil Services Exam consists of :

Prelims/CSAT exam-consits of 2 papers viz. Paper 1 & Paper 2 of General studies 200 marks each i.e total marks is 400 marks.

Mains Exam-You must qualify the Prelim exam to be eligible to appear in the mains exams.Choice of 2 Optional subjects with 2 papers of each subject.

Interviews-is the test of personality. You will get an interview call after clearing mains exam.Final selection in the Merit list is made after clearing of interviews.

You should should choose your optional subjects very carefully.Take any subjects studied by you at the graduation level in B.Sc nursing,it will be
easier to prepare as you will be well versed with the topics of the subjects and having knoweldge of it as optional subjects are very vast. You should
be clear with the basics of the subjects as well as have indepth knowledge of it.

    For more information visit www.upsc.gov.in.

I am attaching the notification of CS exam 2012 for refrence and syllabus of prelims.
