Postal department recruit's its staff by way of giving paper advertisement in leading newspapers/employment news time to time.to recruitment as postal assts they announce cut/off marks obtained by a candidate after 12th standard or graduation accordingly they provide /select candidates throughout the country.

To join in Indian Postal Service, you have to appear the CSAT examination of the UPSC. There are three stages of the examination, i.e., Preliminary, Main and PI. After passing successfully with a good rank, you have to choose the IPS (Indian Postal Service). The minimum qualification is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. The age limit is within 21-30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years, for SC/ST is 05 years. There is only 04 attempts for General, 07 for OBC and up to 35 years of age.
