Dear the number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be approximately 100. The final number of vacancies may undergo a chance subsequently after receipt of the firm number of vacancies from concerned Cadre Controlling Authorities
Dear this above mentioned detail is fairly and finely mentioned in the original notification of this examination means you need to know that there are about 1000 vacancies for the post of IAS Officers in all over India for this session and you need to prepare for this exam hardly because lakhs of candidates will appear for this exam and there is a huge competition for these posts in all over India and not only Indian citizens but other country's candidates - Shrilanka, Nepal, Bhutan etc. also will appear for this exam and as you know that the State - Bihar has provided most of the final selections in IAS exam in the history of UPSC board so that you need to prepare for this exam very hardly and very smartly to get qualified easily
There is not so much time left to prepare for the civil service preliminary examination but you should not leave your hope if you have not prepared for and start preparation for this exam and may be that you get selected in this exam at first attempt so that do not leave your expectation and start preparation with hardcore strategy
You should visit at www.upsc.gov.in for more details and information and to apply for this examination between - 5th March 2013 to 4th April 2013 and I have attached the complete notification please download
All the best
