Dear Friend
UPSC is the Union Public service commission .It is the examination conducting body of India which conducts large no of examinations at the central level or you can say that at national level.
B.tech stands for the Bachelor of technology.Bachelor's degree in any stream is the educational qualifications for most of the UPSC exams like :
1.Civil services examinations.
2.Combined defense services
3.Indian Engineering services: The most suitable exam for engineers or b.etch aspirants.
4.Central Police force examinations.
So friend ,first of all decide yourself that which UPSC examination you want to give because UPSC does not provide any jobs and in order to get job you need to compete any one of the examinations mentioned above.
As I have stated above ,the most suitable examinations for engineers are Indian engineering services examinations. You need to have completed bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in any discipline from any recognized university.
If you are not from the core branches of engineering then you have to select the subjects from the core branches of engineering which are as follows:
1.Civil engineering
2.Mechanical engineering
3.Electrical engineering
4.Electronic and communication engineering
The age limit is 21-30 years with relaxations applicable to obc and sc/st respectively.
Note: Friend as you have mentioned either any of the UPSC exams for which I should tell you the important books or your trade in b.etch so that I can provide you the name of books according to your trade for IES exam.Kindly mention it here so that we can help you better.
Second most important thing is that these examinations need hard along with smart work so that you can become successful. So try to give your best then only you can successful.
