NDA exam is the most common exam in 12th students and every year the no. of candidates who are participating in the examination are increasing continuously.

around 3 lakh students are appeared in the examination every year and only 355 students are selected finally. because thee is only 366 seats among three branches .and also there is some seats ALSO FOR for navel academy.

195 in army.
39 in navy
66 in air force.

and 55 for navel academy.

Eligibility criteria for NDA:
candidate must be an indian male.
candidate must have passed intermediates from recognized board or university with mathematics,physics and english.
age of candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.

every year many lakhs of candidates apply for NDA exam and out of that many don't go for the exam,
many of them fails to clear the exam,
and the candidates who clear out of them only few clears the interview and goes for the training,

The NDA examiantion which is conducted by the UPSC. The essential qualification is to pass 10+2 Science stream only in any recognized board or university. There are at about 2.5 to 3 lakh candidates are appeared to the examination every year, but only the number of vacancies are filled up. The UPSC selects the candidates for the three academy, i.e., Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force. The number of vacancies are different in every year. Thanks....

approx. there are about 5 lakh aspirants for defence forces who will give nda & na exam .
but out of these the following happens :-
appearing - 5 lakhs
written clear - 8000
ssb clear - 500
called for training - 365
(these no. above are not fixed instead they keep on changing every year )

friend as NDA EXAM is a competitive exam,so those who are willing to appear for the exam can apply.

but the number of seat available defense on the vacancy of the post.

sometimes number of candidate is more than the number of seats available,so to filter it ,they included stages like

*written exam
*interview
*medical test

NDA EXAM one can join indian army,indian air force,indian navy(any one)

**NDA rules and regulation are same for all.


no reservation.aspirants get seat as per their hard work
