Dear according to the new examination pattern of UPSC civil service mains examination there will be 4 separate papers for general studies section which contains 250 marks for each and qualifying in each paper is compulsory so there are total 7 papers in conventional type mode in mains examination of IAS and General Studies is a major part and covers more than 60% of part of mains exam that is why you need to focus more on general studies section but before starting preparation for any section you should make it confirm that which are the topics under that subject then you should prepare according to required topics and i have listed all the topics which will be asked under all 4 papers of general studies in mains examination
