Hi
The upsc interview time varies from person to person. It may last for 10 minutes or it may last for 2 hours.
It depends how much you attract them with your qualities. The time taken is more because in the interview of the upsc, all your personality and your strengths and weaknesses are analysed by the expert panel, because once you get to the interview, you need to serve the country with your abilities
All kind of questions are asked in the interview which brings out your skills and strengths
and yes it is said to be real tough one

Because the board is very cordial and if you take it easy and comfortable, you can succeed definitely. To know more details please visit www.upsc.gov.in Thanks.... Best of Luck........
Dear,
Approximate time for the interview per candidate is around 30 min.... there is not any fixed time it mainly depends on the candidate.
No, it's not really tough ... Its a myth . The interviewers are there to testing your personality not for testing your knowledge .. They have already tested your knowledge well in Prelims and in Mains.
So just be cool in front of them.. don't get tensed and don't get yourself nervous.
The interviewers will try to get comfortable with you.. and so do you try... get comfortable with them .. and that's it ... you will enjoy your interview for sure.
I hope you get my point.

hi,
UPSC interview Time is different for per person. I think You know Really Mean of Interview test.
In Interview, you have to proof what Qualities you consist for That particular post.
To clear Interview, You must know well Knowledge of Speaking English.
Interview In English Medium Increase Your Impression on Interviewer,
Average Time of Interview will be about 1/2 hours per candidates.
Therefore Apply These three words in your Life;-
"Never Give Up"
Dear a candidate becomes eligible to face interview process only after qualifying both preliminary and mains examination and this is the final stage of this selection process for IAS Officer post and if you qualify this process then you will become IAS Officer
Basically UPSC board does not take more than 30 minutes for complete interview process and a candidate have to present everything within these 30 minutes but sometimes UPSC board send some candidates outside of the interview premises because of negative performance because when the interview committee is not satisfied with the performance of the candidate or any candidate provide wrong answer for any question of the interviewer then they simply send the candidate and say - "You may go now" so that there is no fix criteria for this interview process but mostly it takes 30 minutes for complete interview process and you have to finish your all answers within this time
If you think about the toughness of this process then you may not imagine that how tough it is because this is the most tough examination in India and all processes are not easy to crack but something depends on the candidate because there are two things which depends on the candidate and those things are :
>> Knowledge and Experience of the candidate for interview
>> How the candidate face interview and how he/she answers or perform
Now if we think about the knowledge then I would like to say that you may collect entire knowledge about the world but this is not enough for interview process because knowledge is not only the responsible thing to crack interview process because you need to have some good presentation skills about this process and also should have some experience about interview process in various sectors and your dedication for this post will be more responsible for your selection because if you give up something then you will get something big so that you need to be dedicated and face interview process and qualify this
Second important thing is your performance and your presentation during the interview that what and how do you feel, how do you think, how do you perform in interview and these qualities are more responsible for scoring good marks in interview and if you only think towards the target and answers for only those things which you are confident for then this may be positive marking in your selection that is why you should not snarl any question and answer correctly and answer only those questions which you are confident for means you need to have complete knowledge about the answer of that particular question then only you should open your mouth otherwise you should not provide any wrong or incomplete information otherwise you may loose this opportunity
Sometimes it comes to tough because before interview, you will fill your all details about yourself and about personal life like interests, education etc. and when you will be there for interview then the entire committee will be expert for that because they are experienced and having enough knowledge about various sectors so that you will have to show that you are not master means you are the one who have complete information but not expert in any particular subject and do not be over confident and before showing any type of interest or hobby, you should confirm that you have good and in depth knowledge and if you have worked somewhere then also you should be proficient in that work and also in the specialization subject of your bachelor's degree
If you follow any successful IAS Officer for interview process and believe in yourself then you may easily qualify the interview process
All the best
