Hi,
Can anyone let me know if it is compulsory to paste a black & white photograph on the UPSC (CSE) application form? It is not mentioned anywhere in the notification but I read a few mails suggesting the same.
If there is only one photograph to be attached on the form then would there be no photograph on the hall ticket?

NO-NEVER YOU SHOULD PASTE YOUR COLOR RECENT PHOTOGRAPH NOT OLDER THAN 6 MONTHS.
YOU CAN ALSO APPLY ONLINE AND SCAN A PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH BETWEEN 3KB-40KB AND 1KB FOR SIGNATURE.

Dear Candidate,
-It isn't specified anywhere that you have to use a black-and-white photograph for the UPSC Civil Service Exams.Therefore,you should definitely opt for using a coloured photograph of yours.Even if you are applying online,you can get a coloured photograph scanned itself.
-And although,the form requires only one photograph,you need not worry.
As there WILL be a photograph for the confirmation of identity,on the hall ticket of the exam,that you will receive
no it is not mandatory to paste a black and white photo in civil services exam. however, coloures photo is more preferred
