Civil service is one of the toughest exam that you are going to face. Therefor a stroung preparation is need to shine in that.
First step to crack . You have to be focused on the goal and do not distract yourself.
The first exam is prelims that is objective that need a profound knowledge in english and general knowledge.
And then the main exam comes in which you have to select two main subjects(the selection must be done before starting the preparation itself)

2. daily give 2-3 hours for your study.
3. doing work hard n struggle.
4. daily manage your civil service study time side by side your 1st yr. B.Tech (ECE).

for the upsc exam a lot of preparation is required.
it very necessary for them to manage their time.
to manage the time during the preparation for the upsc exam.
first of all please keep in mind that you have to work really hard to reach success.
the success rate of this exam is very low .
time is the most precious thing that once gone can never be brought back so its management is necessary .to mange your time you can follow a time table in which you can divide your time for different subjects according to your command in different subject.
for example if you have a good command over general knowledge so you can reduce its time and use this time for some other subject in which think you have to more .
in your time table you can also add some rests for short duration in which you can refresh your mind by having a walk or listening some soft music.this maintain your focus over your preparation without making you tired of the studies.
also during your preparation you should avoid wastage of time in watching television or doing some other thing that is not at all related to your goal.
along with that during your preparation you do not forget your academics also as they will make you eligible for the exam give proper time to your academics also.
at last i would say be cool and calm.be concentrated and focused about your goal you will surely be successful to make your dream come true
as far as upsc examination are concerned there is no percentage bar to apply for any of the upsc examination.
for all the graduation based examination under UPSC you need to have passing marks graduation or engineering degree from a recognized university under UGC .
OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
