    Civil Services examination is conduct by UPSC once every year.

    3 stages in Civil Services Examination.

    � Preliminary Examination (CSAT)
    � Main Examination
    � Interview


    Preliminary Examination ( CSAT) Pattern

    Paper 1 Syllabus

    � Current events of national and international importance
    � History of India and Indian National Movement
    � Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic
    � Indian Polity and Governance- Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
    � Economic and Social Development- Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives etc.
    � General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-Diversity and Climate Change that do not require subject specialization
    � General Science

    Marks -200Duration: Two hours



    Paper 2 Syllabus

    � Comprehension
    � Interpersonal skills including communication skills
    � Logical reasoning and Analytical Ability
    � Decision making and Problem solving
    � General Mental ability
    � Basic numeracy ,Data interpretation
    � English language comprehension skills

    Marks - 200Duration: Two hours

    You need to be well verse upto 10th class syllabus of all the above topics.

    It need 2 years to prepare for such Examination but you can prepare well in one year if you take help of any good coaching Center.

List of optional subject ============== Agriculture Animal husbandry & vetinary science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil engineering Commerce and accountancy Economics Geography Indian History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical engineering Medical science Philosophy Physics Political science & international relations Psychology Sociology Statistics Zoology For the preparation of civil service exam you need of very hard because Civil service exam is the toughest exam of India. for the preparation of civil service exam you should join any good coaching institute. Here you can get good study material and better guidance. You should maintain reference books and NCERT books. Study news paper for Gs. Practice previous year question paper.

    The Examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.
    Paper I - (200 marks) Duration : Two hours
    � Current events of national and international importance.
    � History of India and Indian National Movement.
    � Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India
    and the World.
    � Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj,
    Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
    � Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,
    � Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
    � General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change -
    that do not require subject specialisation
    � General Science.
    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

    � Communication Skills;
    � Logical reasoning and analytical ability
