It will be productive for you only if you concentrate on quality with
quantity of study. It does not matter that how long in a day you study, the thing that matter is how much you have learnt from it.
Tips For Preparation for CSAT:
1. Understand the test by going through CSAT Syllabus and CSAT previous year papers.
2. Read newspapers and magazine it will prepare you for current affairs and take notes of important head lines.
3. Read books on General Knowledge.
4. Improve your aptitude.

It's nice to see your interest in the preparation of civil services exams and if you want to prepare for long time in a day for civil services exams then you should follow these points :
1. Get up early in the morning which is about - 5-6 am and get fresh from call of natures
2. After that you should take the book for your exam which is tough for you and if possible so that you should use that book which is tough to remember as General Studies or CSAT etc.
3. Study for continuously 3-4 hours from your starting then stop study and take bath and if you have any coaching institute or college then have breakfast and go for that
4. After 4 hours you should get fresh and take some rest for at least 30 minutes then again start your study and if possible then you should take the book of CSAT to prepare
5. Evening you should go to hanging out for at least 1 hour and keep your mind fresh and take some energetic food for yourself which gives you boost as - Coffee, Tea etc.
6. Prey the GOD before taking books in your had for at least 5 minutes and prey to provide the success
7. Complete your other works as if you have college or coaching works in one hour then again start study
8. You should study from 8 to 11 PM in the night and before getting sleep you should remember or revise all those things which you have completed in the morning and use the same strategy in the morning for evening study
9. If you follow these points and schedule then your preparation hours would be about 10-12 which are enough for your preparation and if you continue then you may crack the civil services exams
