Jeet Masih
Dear each and every degree is helpful to prepare for civil services exams because UPSC board provides all those subjects in mains exam which are mostly done as the specialization subjects in various degrees and you may choose any one of the - BA/BCA/BBA/BBM/B.Sc/B.Com/BE/B.Tech/B.VSc/B.FSc but you must be qualified in each and every semester before the mains exam and if you pursue in your final year of the degree then you may apply for preliminary exam.
There are so many subjects available in BA as specialization as - History, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration, Literature Subjects, etc. so that you may choose any subject and complete your bachelor's degree to be eligible to apply for UPSC civil services exams.
If you are going to complete your bachelor's degree then you should join any coaching institute for your preparation of these exams with your degree and you may easily prepare and crack because your preparation would be for 2 years with your first and second year of the degree and when you comes in the final year so apply and crack the exam.
All the best
dear aspirant,
yes, BA degree is very helpful for you to crack the exam. you can choose optional subjects related to your field. it helps you in preparation and crack the exam.
