It seems you are getting a phobia to it.
Please don't be scared by its size, its just a bundled up edition to all the happenings throughout the year.
If you had gone through the current affairs through the year, its easy for you to feed it up in your mind in a first read.
And if its not like that please don't get scared and start by the very first section to the last OR you can opt for the easiest topic first to the hardest as per you accordingly.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, you are right. The India Year Book looks scary to most of the aspirants because of its huge size and mainly because of it monotonous style. You will get many question in UPSC cicils exam directly from this book. So, it is a necessary evil. To read the book, you can adopt following strategy.
Read the newly added section completely. Read some of the important chapters like Health and Family welfare, Sports, section related to economics etc. You can leave chapters related to conventional knowledge like Geography, national heritage etc. Read chapter related to Science and Tech completely and also read all the programmes and policies conducted by various ministries.
