How should I prepare for CSE exam myself? Please Guide?

I am a B.sc. graduate (chemistry) from Goa . I have a keen interest in civil services like the Indian police services and the central police forces. sir, am trying my best to join one of these. but sir, Goa being a small state ,there is no sufficient study material ,and also there is no much exposure to such competitive exams. Sir, I have already applied for the Asst. Commandant exam of the CPF. Sir, please guide me as how I should prepare my self for the exams. I may also be interested in the previous years papers?

How to Prepare:-


--First of all a candidate is required to select the proper optional subjects based on his/her knowledge and interest.

--The preparation should be started with the General studies paper(Main) and syllabus of CSAT.

--Once you are done with a good quantity of the above, then you should start preparing for optional subjects and then the remaining papers of Main exam.

--It is quite difficult to do the preparation without proper guidance.

--Civil service exam is not very easy to pass. But with a systematic and focused effort from the candidate�s part it will be quite easy to get qualified in each stages of the exam.

--Make a methodical plan which is realistically and achievable and fit your daily schedule. As to make the plan practical, students must study for the exam at their own pace.

--Only purchase standardized reference books for preparing for the exam.

--Time allocation for each if the syllabus must be sensible. Divide each of the sections in to different sittings. By dividing each of the sections candidates will be able to lay down clear goals.

--English is most important factor both this exam. Read English news paper daily & know about all current affairs & learn new words.
