The candidates who qualify UPSC Civil service exam are given IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other group A central government services according to their choices. In all those services candidates are required to undergo a training or probation period of two years. The candidates take the training in their respective training institutes and also in the field offices. The toppers of the CSE exam generally choose Indian Administrative Service. The IAS probationers have to undergo rigorous training for one years in the LBSNAA in Mussoorie. Then they are sent to different states in different Collector's office to get practical knowledge and training. The training mainly focuses in creating administrative capabilities and knowledge in the candidates.
