Hi Aspirant,
Friend as you mentioned that you are the medical student, so you should choose minimum one subject concern to your stream like �Medical Science�.
During the medical graduation you would have done deep study of medical science and you would have good knowledge of this subject.
So it will be easy to score well in this subject in mains exam.
Now you have to choose one other subject, and you should choose the subject of your interest as I always mention.
You should see your interest and that subject which are easy to score well.
Here I paste the list of all optional subject authorized by UPSC in mains exam
Friend you can choose the subject of History, Geography or psychology.
These are my favorite subject I refer to the candidates. The intention behind my advice is that with the study of these subject you can command on general science and lots of syllabus of GS will be covered.
The preparation of these subjects will be helpful in the preliminary exam also.
So carefully make the selection about these subjects and get success in civil service exam.
