regarding the selection of optionals for civils
my name is ravindra. I am a B.Tech (ECE) student.I have a lot of confusion regardind the selection of optionals for civils mains.Actually Iwas intrested in mathematics and electronic subjects.How far it is good to select maths as an optional and suggest me another optional.whether it is good to choose geography as my second optional.

Dear you are from engineering stream with electronics as a major subject in your 4 years bachelor's engineering degree and you are interested to choose mathematics and electronics as your optional subjects for mains exam so that dear i would only like to say that if you can so you can means if you may easily get qualified in the mains exam in both papers and having good and enough knowledge for both of these subjects then you may easily choose both of these subjects and if you can't so you can't and you may choose mathematics and geography as well for your mains exam because geography is also a very good and interesting subject for mains exam and if you choose geography then it would be your good decision because there is a huge part of geography subject in the prelims exam also and with the help of prelims exam you may prepare well for mains too but dear before that you should care about the GS and CSAT which is asked in the prelims exam
If you could not qualify the prelims so that you would be disqualified and would be ineligible to apply for mains exam so that i have attached the complete syllabus for the prelims exam please download and prepare well first for prelims then think about mains exam and you may apply for prelims exam between
2nd of february to 4th of march and the exam date for prelims - 19th of may 2013
