I want to tell you that in every police force or army exams the tattos are not allowed.
but in some of the exams tattos does not matter the exam schedule,so you will have to check from the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in

I was rejected in the medical test after clearing the physical test because of tattoos on my both deltoids. doctors gave me an absurd reason, saying that i might be carrying some disease due to the use of an infected needle. When i asked them that i can get the tests done on my own expenses, they refused and gave me 'the medically unfit' form stating reason as TATTOOS! How weird is that?
