I think that you are talking about the Civil services main examination pattern.

There were lots of hustle and bustle around that it is going to be changed but it yet has to implemented and news is there that it may be implemented from this year onwards as notification is about to release just it requires the approval of our honourable prime minister.


When the notification is released you can check it on official website of UPSC as well as it will be published in employment news.

The main examination of the 2013 civil services examinations will conducted in the month of november and the date or preliminary test is 19/05/2013.So you will get enough time to prepare for it.

If you have inadequate preparation then you can join the coaching classes like Rau's IAS academy,Chanakya's IAS academy etc.If you think that you can prepare yourself then just give your 100% for achieving success.

The pattern is to changed is that the weightage for the optionals subjects will be from 1200 to 600 marks and for general studies the marks will be 600 to 1200
