-The CIVIL SERVICES Exams are conducted annually by the UPSC.
-It is conducted for the recruitment of deserving candidates in the prestigious posts of IAS,IPS,Foreign Services,Postal Services,Indian Railways,Revenue Services,etc.

� The CIVIL SERVICE exams are carried out in three phases namely,-
# The Preliminary Exams.
# The Mains Exams.
# The Interviews.

� The notifications of release of application forms are made in the month of January end.
You can either apply Online on the website : www.upsconline.nic.in
or,You may apply offline by purchasing the application form from the regional main branch Post Office.

� The last date to apply for the exams is about the first week of March.

� The PRELIMINARY EXAMS are conducted in May.
It spans for just one day,and are carried out throughout the country.

� The results of the Preliminary exams are declared about in the first week of August.
You may check the result using your examination roll number,on the official website of the UPSC.

� The MAINS EXAMS are carried out in October and November,on varying dates,accordance with the subjects chosen for Mains.
Only the candidates who qualify the Preliminary exams can appear for the Mains.

� Within 90 working days,the results of the Mains will be announced and the selected candidates will be called for the Interviews.
