    Living in USA. Am I eligible to appear in IAS exam?

    As I am an Indian but now I moved to Us bcause of my Husband's job , so will I be eligible for the IAS exams ???

    Hello Aspirant!

    To apply for IAS examination you must be a Citizen of India.For this you have to be declare that you are Resident of India and not other counties.
    Even you are staying in USA you can apply but you cannot be a Citizen of USA then you are eligible.

    hi

    friend those who are willing to appear for civil service exam they must have indian citizenship.

    IAS and IPS (specially),they must be an indian

    suppose if you got selected for civil service exam,interview also,so for the training and to do service in India,you need to be serve here only not in foreign

    right!!!!

    if the candidate has completed their graduation/post graduation,age is between 21-30 years,medically fit and fine,must be indian


    civil service exam patters=

    1)CSAT (civil service aptitude test

    2)main exam

    3)interview

    No you can't able to give IAS exam,as you moved to USA.
    in IAS exam,the strict condition is of citizen of.India and lived in India
    and as you moved with your husband your citizenship also lost.
    now you NRI and NRI's are not eligible for exam.
    so I'll refer to try private sector.

    Surely you can appear IAS after following the IAS eligibility though today you are living in America due to your husband's job you are basically, Indian at any time you can back to India.IAS(Indian Administrative services).
    entrance examination is conducted by UPSC every year.

    IAS ELIGIBILITY:-

    1.Any Graduate from the recognized University in any discipline can write Ias.

    2.IAS entrance exam is conducted by UPSC 2 times in a year.

    3.AGE: General: 21-30 years, relaxations for OBC: 3 years, S/C S/T:5 years.PWD: 10 years.

    4.Nationality: Indian.

    5.Attempts; General 4 attempts.OBC: 7 attempts. S/C S/T: No limit.

    These are the IAS eligibility whenever you back here and intend to appear UPSC IAS I must follow the IAS eligibility before applying.

    Dear friend,

    Here I would like to make you clear that Living in USA does not prohibit from you from giving the IAS exam.

    Because in eligibilty criteria of UPSC its not mentioned thatt if you live in other country you are not eligible for the exam.

    You are already holding Indian citizenship as you have moved to USA just because of your husband's job.

    So if you are having Indian nationality no need to worry.

    Surely you can apply for IAS exam.

    Here below I am providing you with other details:-

    >> You must hold bachelors degree.

    >> Any stream candidate can apply for the exam.

    >> You must have Indian citizenship to apply for the exam.

    >> Your age should be between 21 to 30 yrs (general category).

    21 to 35 yrs - SC/ST
    21 to 33 yrs- OBC
    21 to 40 yrs- PH

    yes,
    you are eligible for giving exams for IAS:
    requirement are :
    1. should be a citizen of INDIA.
    2.should have a bachelors DEGREE of any recognize university
    3. age limit is 21 - 30 years.

    Hello Friend ,

    You can appear for the IAS exam only when you posses the following criteria , and these are as follows :

    > > you must Be Graduate from recognized university in any discipline

    > > Age must be above 21 years but not more than 30 years .

    > > You must have residential certificate or an proof of Indian Citizen , like Voter ID card .

    If you have all the eligibility that i have mentioned above than surely you can apply for next IAS exam 2014.

    Yes,surely since you are a not an American Citizen.And if you have registered yourself as Indian Citizen then you are surely eligible for IAS entrance.I think you have a proof like voter id card and so then don't worry you can fill up the form online at upsconline.nic.in.And then come and give the entrance here.But you must be within 21-30 years of age.

    Well dear as per ias eligibility you should be an indian citizen.if you are living in usa but you have indian citizenship then you will be eligible to apply for the ias exam.
    IAS EXAM ELIGIBILITY:

    <>you should have done graduation from a recognised university.

    general-21 to 30 years

    You should be Indian as a eligible for IAS Even you are living in U.S. is temporally is not major issue but you shift india then you have write exams for IAS.

    Dear Friend,

    You must be citizen of Indian. It does not matter that this time you are living in USA.

    For civil services examination some requirements are such as :

    You must be passed your graduation from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

    Your age must be under 21-30 years.
    3 years age relaxation for BC candidate , 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidate and 10 years age relaxation for Physically handicapped .

    as you staying in usa but want to apply for the ias exam you must fulfill the eligibilty criteria of ias exam such as
    must be indian citizen
    completed graduation from recognized university
    age limit from 21 to 30 yrs is for general and obc 21 to 33 yrs and for sc/st candidates 21 to 35 yrs
