Dear if you wants to choose Mathematics and Psychology as your optional subjects for mains exam then you have selected the good combination but dear the question is - if you have enough and in depth knowledge about both of the subjects and you may face these subjects in any condition then you must choose because without having good command over any one subject in the mains exam the candidate may suffer from the defeat which is not acceptable for a candidate who prepare hard for this exam and if you have completed your bachelor's degree with any one of these subjects and interested then you may choose and if you have insufficiency of knowledge about any one of these both then you will have to prepare hard for that subject and get the command over that then you should enter in the ground of competition.
Dear before you choose any subject you will have to be qualified in the preliminary exam which has 2 papers as - Paper I - General Studies - 200 marks and Paper II - CSAT - 200 marks and both papers would be conducted in the objective type mode and qualifying in both papers is necessary so dear first of all you should prepare and care about the preliminary exam.
