***Hi friend!!***
the answer to your question is definitely No.
There's no need of having a Hindi subject in your 10th class.

Dear Aspirant
No their is no need to worry as their is no
need that you have hindi as a subject in the 10th class
As for the exam their is a compulsory subject general studies
And the 2 optional subjects and also one language subject
So it will depend on you which subject you choose
As their is the qualification Required for the exam:
The candidate must be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university Or
A final year student can also apply for the exam
Age; 21-30 and their is relaxation given to the obc of 3
And for the sc.st candidates of 5 years
And as you can see the qualification as their is no criteria
That you have a hindi subject in 10th or 12th
just a simple format the candidate should be pass in graduation

Hi dear
It is not necessary to have Hindi as a subject in class 10th or any other level to be eligible for any UPSC Exams.
None of the UPSC Exam require any particular 'language' Subject in any level of your studies.
So you need not worry; and remember one thing that in most of the cases whenever there is use of Hindi in Exams , you will be allowed your regional language.
For further such queries you can refer to http://www.upsc.gov.in/general/faq.htm
no dear not at all,
there is no compulsion that you have to have hindi as one of the subject for the upsc exam,
you need to be graduated from a recognized university if you want to apply for the upsc exams,
also you age must lie between 21 to 30 years.
if you belong to OBC or SC/ST category then you will get age relaxation of 3 years or 5 years respectively.
