If you are Arts Graduate then you can take any arts subject in the upsc examination. Most of the students choose History, Sociology, Political Sciences, You can also choose them. These courses are easy and you have to remember only the important dates and events. After that you can write the answer with your own view.

There are number of subjects in Arts stream which the UPSC has listed in the advertisement. These are sociology, Public Administration, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics etc. which are very crucial subjects and also mark fetching. So you can choose one of the above subjects as your Optional paper. But to my mind, if you choose your convenient subject, then you can prepare easily and do better in the examination. Thanks....
