Dear if you have ever appeared for CDS Examination then you do not need to worry about the qualifying in each subject because the final selection always completes on the basis of marks of all sections means if you score good in two subject which are over than 60 marks and if you score less in one which are 40 then there is no problem because your final score will be counted as combined means you do not need to qualify every section of this examination means if your two papers marks are enough and making you listed under qualifying score then you will be called for interview process means you do not need to qualify in every subject

Hello
NO IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO PASS EACH SUBJECT IN CDSE TO PASS CDSE.
CDSE has a written exam of three papers 1)Elementary Mathematics 2)English 3)General knowledge.
It is a entrance, multiple choice question, there is no such concept of pass in a competitive exam.
You never pass or fail in a competitive exam,it is only the rank that matters the most in this case.
you will be giving exam of three papers, now it totally depends how much have you scored in all three papers and depending on that your rank will be decided.
Even if you have scored 0 in all three papers, then also there is a possibility that you rank, but then it will require that others must have performed extremely bad.
Even if your score is in negative you can rank, there is no pass or fail in a competitive exam it is only the rank and that depends how well you have performed and how others have performed.
