Well dear bds stands for Bachelor of dental
surgery.so as the name suggests that it is a graduation degree.so dear if you have got this degree from a recognised university then you are eligible for upsc exams.as a student who has got a graduation degree from a recognised university can apply for the upsc exams.before applying keep the other criteria in mind also.best of luck
Yes, dear it is possible to give UPSC after completing BDS degree. Bcoz for this exam mostly UPSC require graduate candidates and you are also degree holder then offcourse you can give this exam.

Hi,Yes it possible to give UPSC exam after completing BDS degree coz for UPSC exam you must me graduate from recognized university.BDS means Bachelor of dental and that is graduation degree So you are fully elegible for that exam surgeryGood luck......

yes why not friend,you can appear for upsc exam as the qualification required is graduate degree and you must posses graduation passed certificate.if you have then you can proceed further.
only qualification does not make you eligible,you need to fit the other eligible criteria like age,physical standards ,nationality etc

Engineering Services Exam (Civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics engg)
IFS Exam (Forest Services)
CDS Exam (Combined Defence Services)

obc = 3 years

Eligibility to apply for UPSC Civil Service Exams 2013 :
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
You have completed your BDS - Bachelor or Dental Surgery and your degree is a bachelor's degree so that you are eligible to apply for civil service exams and you may apply for this exam between following dates
Start date for online application - 02-02-2013
Last date for online application - 04-03-2013
UPSC Civil Service Prelims exam - 19-05-2013
Examination Pattern is following for UPSC Civil Service Exams :
1. Preliminary Exam : Objective Type and two papers conducted for 400 marks and it is a prelims test which marks are not included in mains exam but qualifying in this test is necessary to apply for mains exam.
2. Mains Exam : Conventional Type and 9 papers and complete pattern is following for the mains test and in this subject you will have to choose any two subjects for your mains exam from the list provided by UPSC board
Paper I - General English - 300 Marks
Paper II - Essay - 200 Marks
Paper III - Any Language from the list
Paper IV - General Studies I - 300 Marks
Paper V - General Studies II - 300 Marks
Paper VI and VII from any selected subjects - 300 Marks
Paper VIII and IX from any selected optional subjects - 300 Marks
Grand Total - 2000 Marks
Interview Process : After qualifying your both prelims and mains exam you would be called for interview process and interview contains 300 marks separate and your selection would be on the basis of the performance of both mains exam and interview process

Yes, you are eligible for the UPSC examination because you are completing your graduation in BDS.
Check out the following general Eligible criteria:
- UPSC is Union Public Service Commission; it comes under the Indian Government for recruiting different posts including IAS, IFS, IES etc.
- Age Limit: Candidate must age in between 21 years to 30 years. Age Relaxation for the reserve category students.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate or appearing final year of graduation from any recognized university.
- Nationality: Candidate must be Indian
- No. of Attempts: General Category students have maximum of 4 attempts, OBC candidates have 7, SC/ ST candidates have on limitations on attempts.

1. Age Limit:-
21-30 years as on 1/8/2013
2. Educational Qualifications:-
Bachelor�s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.
3. No. of permissible attempts :- Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.
Now you have done BDS which is also a degree course.
Hence as far as educational criteria is concerned,you fulfill it given that the university from where you did your BDS is UGC recognized.
Hence you can sit for the exam given that you satisfy the age criteria as well!
