Hello Aspirant ,
yes you are start your preparation after 12th . it's best
that you started your preparation after 12th and you got
it's benefit -
you understand high level question .
and you have so much time of exam's preparation
Hi friend!
The answer to your question is definitely YES!
I appreciate your dream of serving the nation.
Firstly, you need to write Preliminary exam of Civil Service followed by Mains.
The qualification for the Civil Service is Graduation(Degree). So you need to complete your graduation.
Coming to the Preliminary exam, it consists of General Science and Aptitudes.
And the syllabus for the Preliminary is cover everything intermediate level like GK,Biology, everything.
And the syllabus for the Mains is to select two subjects out of 22 subjects but a combo of same stream is avoided like (Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
And an Indian language out of 28 languages.
As you're 11th standard, I'd suggest you to go through newspapers, history(Indian), Geography(India) And the problems arising in your state.
And reading the newspapers is just not the thing, you'd analyse the facts and analyse every stuff you go through.
The main important thing is to prepare notes of it. It helps you to reckon everything when you just have glance at it.
And preparing the notes is very good job because you'll never find anything in any book about certain topic which you surely find in dailies.
Go through two languages of dailies (one, perhaps English and second, your language).
And section of subjects for Mains depends on what course you do in your graduation.
After deciding the course, then go should go through previous year papers.
And you can also join a institute just 2years before writing the preliminary exam.
You should create your own time-table because proper planning and execution is more important for success.
More and more rehearsals are also important!
I wish you all Success!
i would say it is the best way for preparing for civil services exam as it is a tough nut to crack indeed. but nothing is impossible in this world . the applicant who clear the civil services exams are also one of us .they are got anything special that help them to clear the exams . it is because they are so determined and focused for their goal to become an IAS or an IPS officer to serve our nation .
one more thing that can help you to achieve the goal of becoming an IAS or an IPS officer is self analysis. by sef analysis i mean to say is when you analyse yourself you would come to know where is the problem is between you and your goal.
after 12th you should try n manage your time so that you can proper time to ever aspect of your studies along with preparation for civil services .
be focused and determined towards your goal you will surely achieve your goal.
Sorry Dear,it is not possible to give civil services examinations right after finishing your 10+2 because the minimum qualification required for the civil services examiantions is
graduation in any stream from a recognised university.
The other requirements are that your age should be between 21-30 years .IF you are from OBC or SC/ST then age relaxation of 3 years and five years will be provided to you.
Nationality: Indian.
So, I would like to suggest you to first complete your graduation from a good college with better marks.During your graduation period ,you can prepare for civil services examinations from the coachings like:
1.RAO'S academy
2.TIME
3.Chanakya's IAS academy
3.Career Point
4.Vajiram IAS study circle and lots more.
Civil services examinations are very tough as there is limited seats and competition is very tough for general candidates as they get only four attempts for this exam whereas 7 for obc and no limit of attempts for SC/ST.
Hope the information is clear to you.
