Well, you are the best judge for this question. You know what type of a student you are. If you are highly intelligent and you think that you can manage your studies well along with extra activities; no problem. You can study for civils simultaneously with the job.
But if you are above or below average, I think you should concentrate only on one thing. It has been observed many a times that people involve themselves in multiple works and fail in all tasks.
Now, judge yourself on the aforementioned points & see if you can manage both simultaneously.

if in case you got the seat in any one of the civil services,then you need to choose any one either
a)current job
b)join civil service job
why to get into dilemma.you can go with your profession and join in civil service as per you branch.it will make your work much more easy.right

Yes you can do your study and prepare for civil services while doing job.
You should make a proper time table and follow that.you should take some interesting subjects which should build your interest.
You should follow daily newspaper to be aware of current affairs.
