Final year candidates are eligible for most of the UPSC exams.For Indian Forest Service exam also final year candidates are eligible. You need to be within the age limit of 21-30years for General category and 21-33 for OBC,21-35 for SC/ST candidates.Your graduation subjects also makes you eligible for appearing in the prelims of IFoS.You can appear while in final year but you have to produce passing certificate before Mains exam which is generally held around September/October.All the best

Yes you were eligible for appearing in preliminary examination of IFS exams being a final year student of Bachelor's of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.But you have to produce your passing certificate at the final interview process.
However this year last date of receipt of application for IFS was April 4,2013.So you prepare yourself for next year examination and be updated about exam dates by keep visiting UPSC official websites (www.upsc.gov.in) from November

IFS stands for the - Indian Foreign Services
This exam is also under the Civil Services exam. In this exam also candidates are selected on the basis of the preliminary exam and also mains exam

Eligibility for UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination
To apply for this examination, you should have a degree in any one of the - Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Engineering (Any discipline)/ Forestry/ Geology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Zoology from a recognized university
Your age should be minimum 21 years but must not have attained the age of 30 years. If you belongs to reserved category then you may claim for upper age relaxation after completing 30 years of age that will be provided to you as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs
You are pursuing Bachelor's degree of Science with Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry as mandatory subjects so you are eligible to apply for this examination and must apply
Examination Pattern and Selection Procedure : There will be the same process as other exams of UPSC as :
Preliminary Examination - Two papers of objective type pattern and each contains 200 marks. Passing in this test is mandatory then only you will be shortlisted for main examination of IFoS n the basis of your rank
Main Examination : This section examination contains following conventional type papers :
Paper I - General English - 300 marks
Paper II - General Knowledge - 300 marks
Paper III & IV - Based on the first selected optional subject - 200 marks for each
Paper V and VI - Based on the second selected optional subject - 200 marks
You may choose any two subjects from the list mentioned below for all these four papers

Acronym IFS stands for Indian Forest Services exam. the exam is conducted by UPSC for the posts in forest department.
Scheme and subjects for the Preliminary and Main Examination.
A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION :
The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each.
B. MAIN EXAMINATION :
The written examination consisting of the following papers:-
Paper I- General English 300 Marks
Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks
Papers III, IV, V and VI.-Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional
subjects set out in para 2 below. Each subject will have two papers.-:-200 marks for
each paper.

You must hold a Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.Final year year students can also apply for the exam
