    Is a petroleum engineer eligible to give Indian Engineering Services Exam conducted by UPSC? Is it true that only Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineers are only eligible for IES exam?

    Is petroleum engineer eligible to give indian engineering services exam conducted by upsc?
    Is petroleum engineer eligible to give indian engineering services exam conducted by upsc?i have read somewhere that only mechanical,electrical,electronics & communication,civil engineers are eligible for this test.is it true??
    Are petroleum engineers not eligible in giving indian engineering services exam???

    B.tech petroleum Engineers are eligible.B.tech or BE degree holders all are eligible.But the papers will be in Civil,Mechanical,Electrical,Electronics and Telecommunications only.There are only 4 papers you will have to select one of them.You are eligible but you have to select which paper you want to choose in which you will qualify.
