Yes definitely you are eligible for IES Exam after scoring 50% in B.Tech. IES stands for Indian Engineering Services. IES exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates in different services such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics engineering. UPSC doesn't consider marks so don't worry about it. You just have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria to appear for the Exam.
The basic eligibility criteria for Engineering Services Exam are as follows:
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year degree students are also eligible
The age limit is 21-30 yrs
The maximum number of attempts for General category is 4
The candidate should be Indian

Yes,why not you are eligible for the IES examinations that is Indian Engineering services examinations after having 50% marks in Bachelor of technology in electronics and communication because there is no such % issue in UPSC exams ,only passing % of marks is sufficient to be eligible.
The second is that your age should be between 21-30 years.Relaxation of three years to obc and five year for the sc/st respectively.
You must be an Indian citizen.

Yes,you are eligible for IES after scoring only 50% in B.tech in ECE.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Electrical,Electronics & communication,civil & mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from any recognized University .
M.sc degree or equivalent with wireless communication , Electronics,Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.
Student of final year engineering is also eligible for the IES exam.
There is no specific percentage required to apply the exam.

YES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM(IES).
The Eligibility criteria of the IES is as follows-
1)The candidate must have completed the degree in engineering in any stream from a recognized university.
2)There is no percentage required for the degree,only pass marks is enough.
3)Age limit-21 to 30 years for the general category.
21 to 33 years for the OBC.
21 to 35 years for the SC/ST.
Now as per as the eligibility criteria,there is any stream mentioned in the engineering degree and no percentage mentioned,you have two doubts both of them is ok.
Hence you are applicable for the IES exam.
