Friend, there is lot of difference in the nature & pattern of the bankings examinations and Civil Service Examination. No friend, you cannot relate to bank exam preparation to civil Service exam.

Both exams are different and you need of different study.

Bank exam is easier than Civil Service exam and its syllabus is also different.

Civil Service Exam is the toughest exam and required very hard work and desire to crack it.

So friend first of all you should decide you aim and thereafter start preparation.
