    Can I take IAS exam soon after completion of my graduation course? Should I get through any competitive exams like UPSC, or any other qualifying exams? I am now in Science field.

    i'm in second year degree can i take IAS exam soon after the completion of my graduation? or i have to get through some competitive exams like UPSC, or any other qualifying exams? i'm now in science field.

    Dear Applicant,
    -UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.It is not an exam.It is body,which conducts various examinations,throughout the year,in every part of the country,to recruit deserving candidates in the Highest civilian Posts of the Nation,in Administration,Police,Defence,Railways,Revenue Services,Postal Services,Foreign Services,Medical Services,Forest Services,etc.
    -ONE SUCH EXAM CONDUCTED BY THE UPSC IS THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS,FOR THE ENROLLMENT OF CANDIDATES IN INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE(IAS),INDIAN POLICE SERVICE(IPS),etc.
    -To appear for this exam,you do not need to qualify any another exam.You can appear for it directly,if you are a Graduate,and you fulfil the other demands of this exam.
    -This exam is itself conducted in Three Phases,namely,
    /The Preliminary Exam.
    /The Mains Exam.
    /The Interviews.
    Until you clear the preceding phase,you cannot proceed to the next.
    -To become an IAS,you will have to clear all the three phases with an excellent overall rank.
    -The complete eligibility requirements for this exam are drawn below-
    # NATIONALITY #
    (1) You must be a citizen of India,or
    (2) You must be a subject of Nepal,or
    (3) You must be a subject of Bhutan,or
    (4) You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India,before 1962.
    # AGE LIMITS #
    You must be 21 TO 30 years of age.However,the upper age limit is relaxable by :
    (1) FIVE years for SC/ST and ex-servicemen.
    (2) THREE years for OBC and Physically disabled.
    # EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS #
    You must have completed your Graduation or Equivalent,from a recognized University,with any subject or stream.
    Final Year students are also applicable.
    Only passing percentage is required.
    # NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS ALLOWED #
    For GENERAL Category : 04
    For OBC Candidates : 07
    For SC/ST Candidates : Unlimited.
    -Once you fulfil the criteria completely,you can definitely apply for the exams.
    -The forms are released by the end of January,and last until the first week of March.
    -To apply ONLINE,refer the website,

    -To apply OFFLINE,you can purchase the application kit from your nearest authorized Post Office.

    Of course my friend.....you are completely eligible to take IAS exam ...along with that you also eligible for any exam that will be conducted under the UPSC so do not worried about in that issue.....you can also apply for any competitive exam like UPSC and any thing else....see the field you have selected is nothing to important because UPSC needs only complete graduation so that you can do it as soon as possible any way my friend all the best ....
