    Dear Friend,

Yes , you are eligible for civil services examination.

IAS comes into civil services. For that you give civil services examination.

B.Arch is a graduation course and after graduation every candidate can apply for civil services examination.

But for that exam it is compulsory that you are coming in all requirements which are such as :

    1. Candidate must be citizen of Indian.
    2. Candidate must be passed his/her graduation from a recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.
    3. Candidate must be into 21-30 years.
    4. Male/Female both are eligible.

    Good Luck

    - Why not?

    - You can become an IAS officer after passing B.Arch.

    - But you have to pass ICS exams and interview.

    - ICS stands for Indian Civil Services Exam.

    - All graduates can write this exam in below age limits:

    1. General: 21-30 years.

    2. BC: 21-33 years.

    3. SC/ST: 21-35 years.

    - UPSC conducts ICS exam once every year.

    - Eligible and interested candidates have to apply for prelims exam.

    - After that they have to pass Prelims exam, Mains exam and then Interview.

    - After that they will be appointed for various posts as per their prefrences and ranks.

Re: Can I become an IAS officer after finishing B.Arch?

    Hello friend,

here you asked that whether you are eligible for the civil services examination or not after completing your B. Arch.

than I clear your doubt that you are definitely eligible for the same because there is no any restriction of subjects or stream , there is

only requirements of a degree from a govt. recognized university .

i think you have not proper knowledge about the examination but have keen desire to become IAS officer so you should learn and admire what i shared with you here to achieve your goal.

    eligibility requirement:-

*there are only one requirement in eligibility criteria is that you must be a graduate with a govt recognized university .no matter of percentage and no matter of stream.

    Age criteria:-

the age criteria for different category is as under :-

    * 21-30 years for general category.

    * 21-33 years for obc category .

    * 21-35 years for sc/st category.

and only after getting fully prepared for the examination you should apply for the same because restriction of no. f attempts will become a big barrier in the path of become IAS officer.

    No. of attempts:-
    * for general category:- only 4

    * for obc category:- 7 att.

    * for sc/st category:- no any restriction.

hope that this information will be proved helpful to you

    thank you...
