Hello, Indian Economic/Statistical Services Exam is conducted by UPSC. The age limit is between 28 years and not be less than 21 years on January f1st of the year of entrance examination.
The educational qualification for the exam is bachelor degree in mathematics / economics or statistics from a recognized university. Entrance exam is divided into two levels:
- Written Test
- Vocal Viva Test

Indian Statistical Services Exam is conducted annually by UPSC.
This years notification for this Exam will be published on the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in from 18/08/2012.
The last date for receipt of application is 17/09/2012 and the Exam will be held on 01/12/2012 .
Indian Statistical Services Exam requires ''a Post-graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognised University'' as minimum academic qualification for the Exam.
The applicant should be an Indian citizen and must satisfy the age limit of 21-30 years ( relax-able for candidates belonging to different categories ).

ISS ie:-Indian statistical service and this Examination is Conducted by UPSC ie:- Union Public Service Commission .
This Examination is held every once in a year .
Educational Qualification :- The Aspirant should hold Graduation from recognized University . Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .
Specialization Subject :- The Aspirant should studied in any one of the subject in Bachelor degree Course ( ie:- Statistics/ Applied Statistics / Mathematical Statistics )
Age Criteria for ISS Examination :- The Aspirant age should be 21 years to 30 years for General candidates and relaxation will for sc/st candidate and obc candidates .

A master's degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized university for IES services
A master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics for ISS Services
Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which are as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
