The CMS(COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES) is a examination which is conducted by the UPSC to appoint the medical officer in various governmental organization and the eligibility criteria for CMS is

1)Educational qualification-have passed the final written and practical paper of M.B.B.S examination.
2)Age limit-23-32 years for general candidate and there are age relaxations for reserved category and ex-serviceman of government.
3)Nationality-Indian.

The above three are the only eligibility criteria for the CMS,the notifications of the exam is usually released in the month of september and examination is conducted in the month of january.There is a interview stage conducted by UPSC after the candidates have passed the written exams.

i. Assistant Divisional Medical Officers in the Railways.
ii. Junior Scale Posts in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service
iii. Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.
iv. Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
v. General Duty Medical Officers in NDMC.

Eligibility For CMS Exam :

Age Limit :
General Category - Below 32 years on 1st January of the year of Examination
OBC - Relaxation by +3yrs
SC/ST - Relaxation by +5 yrs

Educational Qualification :
A pass in the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.

Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination will be required to submit proof of passing the written and practical parts of final MBBS Examination alongwith their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage. For admission to the examination a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.
