You can easily join Indian Army after passing your 12th class through NDA exam :

NDA Stands for - National Defense Academy which is conducted by UPSC board and NDA has 3 different department relevant to defense services which are following with their eligibility criteria :

1. Indian Army : 12th passed candidates in any discipline from a recognized board/university

2. Indian Air force : 12th passed with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject from a recognized board

3. Indian Navy : 12th passed with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject from a recognized board with any one of these subjects - Computer Science/Biology/Chemistry

Age limit for all above mentioned exams follows same - 16.5 to 19 years means you can not apply for this exam before the age of 1.65 years and after completion of 19 years and no relaxation in age.

NDA exam conduct two times in a year which following about :

NDA Phase I exam is going to be conducted at - 7th April 2013

NDA Phase II exam is going to be conducted at - 11th August 2013

Application form for this exam are available for this exam before the 3 months of the exam means you can not apply for NDA phase I but you can apply for Phase II exam between 04/05/2013 to 03/06/2013 and can appear for exam easily.

ITs a very good thing you want to join indian army and you can join after your 12th class by apllying for the NDA exma which is national defense acaemy exam conducted by the upsc every year twice.
YOu just have to qualify for the eligibility condition laid down by the upsc which are-
1.Unmarried male candidate
2.Citizen of india
3.age limit-16.5 to 19 yrs
4.education qualification-12th board appearing or 1th passed from any recognised board.

There is a written exam first conducted by commission whose date will be displayed along with the notice.
If you clear the written examination then you will have to appear before the ssb board.
THere you will have to undergo 5 day long interview and other test where you will be assesd for the officer like quality...

Being Commerce back ground you are eligible to join Indian Army for the posts of non-technical.

For technical posts you must be complete Graduation with science groups and then only you are eligible for Combined Defense Services examination conducted by UPSC.
To apply for National Defense Academy(NDA) exam, eligibility is must pass Intermediate course in SCIENCE stream only are eligible.

You can Join the Indian army after 12th (Commerce) by appearing/clearing the UPSC NDA Exam.
UPSC NDA exams are held Twice a year for candidates.
Recruitments are made to the Indian Army,Navy and Airforce Wing of the Defence Services.

Eligibility For NDA Exams :

there is only one way to enter into army after and that is n.d.a(national defense academy)
while the other is c.d.s(combined defense services) but that is after graduation..

The one and only way to enter in the defense with a mere qualification of 10+2 is NDA which is a entrance exam through which you can apply for all the three wings of the defense altogether.

It is conducted twice in a year.The criteria is as follows

~Educational qualification-10+2 passed with physics and maths for applying in the air force and navy wing and with any stream for army wing.
~Age limit-16.5 to 19 years.
~Only unmarried male candidates are applicable.

Now the notifications are generally released in the month of May and December in the employment news paper and in the leading newspaper.
