Eligibility for UPSC:

You must complete the graduation from any recognized university.

Yes you can join Indian Army through UPSC exams because UPSC Separately conduct a exam for defense services which is following :

CDS - Combined Defense Services Exam - It has three departments which are following with eligibility criteria :

Indian Army : Must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 25 years

Indian Navy : Should have completed a degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and any one of these- Chemistry/CS/Biology and age follows same as mentioned above

Indian Air Force : This Department also required the same eligibility criteria which is required for Indian Navy Department means a degree in mathematics and physics and age criteria follows same as mentioned above.

Your have 2 years left and you may apply for upcoming CDS exam which would be conducted in 2013 so keep visiting at - www.upsc.gov.in

CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year for the recruitment of candidates in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Officers Training Academy (OTA).

The eligibility criteria for CDS Exam are as follows:
Nationality:
The candidate must be Indian.

Age Limit: Male candidates (Unmarried) of age between
(i) For IMA: 19-24 years.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: 19-22 years.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years.
(iv) For OTA: Male candidates (married or unmarried) of age between 19-25 years.
(v) For OTA: Unmarried Women of age between 19-24 years.

Educational Qualification:

To apply for UPSC exams:-

You should have completed graduation from a good university

Your age should be:-
General= 21-30 years
OBC=21-33 years
SC/ST= 21-35 years.

You should have these criteria fulfilled to apply for UPSC exams.

To join indian army you can do it through CDS and the age limit for it is 19-25 yrs.

at the age of 23 if you want to join the indian army through upsc exam, then there is an exam named CDS, which is conducted by the upsc twice in an year. the eligibilty of this exam is that you should be a graduate or in final year or in pre final years of graduation and your age should be in between 19-24 years of age
