UPSC issued notification for Indian statistical service exam on 1st september 2012. Last date for application will be 1st otctober 2012. Exam date is 1st december 2012.
Eligibility conditions:
1) Age 21- 30 years as on 1st august of the year you apply.
Age relaxation applicable for OBC - 3 years; Sc/ST- 5 years
2) a candidate should have post graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognised University
Candidates have to apply online through upsconline.nic.in
Scheme of exam is written followed by interview
General English - 100 marks
General ability - 100 marks
Statistics ( 4 papers ) -200 marks each
total of 1000 marks
