UPSC conducts the Common Defence Services(CDS) examtwice in a year.
CDS exam is conducted to commission officers in the Indian Army,Airforce and Navy.

Eligibility For CDS :

Marital Status :
Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply to CDS exam.

Age Limit :
Candidates age should lie between 19-25yrs.
Indian Military Academy-19-24yrs
Officers Training Academy-19-25yrs
Airforce Academy-19-23yrs
Naval Academy-19-22yrs

Educatonal Qualification :
IMA & OTA-Graduate Degree from a recognised University.
Airforce Academy-B.Sc degree from a recognised University with Physics and/or Maths as subjects/B.E./Equivalent
Naval Academy-B.sc degree with Physics and Maths from a recognised University/B.E./Equivalent

THERE IS NO PERCENTAGE CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CDS EXAM.

You require a passing percentage in your graduation degree only and there is no cutoff percentage required to apply to CDS exam.

• It's an defence sector exam which is conducted by UPSC.
• If you want to enter in Indian army or office training academy then the graduation would be enough for you.
• To join Indian naval academy, you must have bachelor degree in engineering.
• To join Air force you must completed graduation (with physics and maths as an compulsory subject in 12th) or degree in engineering.

Age limit.

• Officer training academy- 19 years to 25 years.
• Indian army- 19 years to 24 years.
• Indian air force- 19 years to 23 years.
• Indian Naval academy- 19 years to 22 years.
