Yes there are some engineering related optional subjects in UPSC exams for various posts and jobs under UPSC but you would only be able to choose these subjects after qualifying preliminary exam means choosing of the subjects is only allowed for those who have qualified the prelims exam for mains.
You can choose any two of the following subjects in mains exams :
1. Civil Engineering
2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Electrical Engineering
4. E and T Engineering
5. Chemical Engineering
Exam pattern :
Preliminary Exam : This would be an objective type paper in which you will have to qualify two papers which carries 400 marks means each paper contains 200 marks
Mains Exam : If you qualify the prelims exam then you would be allowed to apply for Mains exam and you will have to choose any two subjects according to your choice and one paper would be separate would be for english subject and other paper would be for any Indian language which would be chosen by you so that you have to qualify only 7 descriptive type papers in mains exam for 2000 marks and if you qualify this section also then you will be eligible for Interview process.
All the best
